Glass Bridges as part of Staircase Design, Isle of Man

Glass Bridges and Oak Cantilevered Stairs.

Two flights of oak cantilevered stairs for a new build property on the Isle of Man with glass bridges transitioning between landings.

The stairs rise through the central space of the property which is contemporary in style. Air dried English Oak is full of character and light enough not to dominate the space. Reed detail on tread edges provides extra anti-slip properties.

The balustrade is of hand forged uprights with leather handrails. At ground floor handrails sweep down into Bisca’s trade-mark newel. Bridges and walkways of oak and glass are part of the same design.
