Hallways Feature – July 2016
The Bisca staircase used in Build It’s Hallways Feature in the July edition is one of our older designs, but eternally popular.
Commissioned for the entrance hall of a Jersey property, the staircase is both elegant and minimalist.
Impossibly slim cantilevered treads of kiln dried oak give a zig-zag profile. Viewed from the side, the tread and riser ends are a feature in their own right.
The staircase balustrade is a single sheet of low iron glass fixed without visible connectors to giving a crisp, clean and contemporary feel.
First floor landing edges share the same glass balustrade design.
