Stair renovations | Homebuilding & Renovating

Bisca stair renovations in February’s edition of Homebuilding and Renovating.

The existing staircase of dark mahogany stained timber spindles and treads was at odds with the light filled property in which it sat.

The clients obtained quotations from many staircase specialists for the work. Bisca, however, were the staircase company would consider the structural implications of removing the under-stairs cupboard as part of the project.

As part of our service we carried out a full structural survey before work began. One of the supporting beams turned out to actually be a cavity and not a beam at all. Once this had been established, the way was clear for the restoration to begin.
You can see more details on this project in our gallery, ref 4109. The project also features in the before and after section of the website.
