A three-flight helical stairs design for a new build property in Yorkshire. The staircase is a key feature in the house, with a grand entrance at ground level.
Our helical stairs design aligns and orientates around a central core, with amazing views both up and down.
Two upper flights comprise stainless steel, glass balustrade and oval profile handrails. The flight from ground to basement is of triple laminated glass treads. This flight shares the same balustrade and handrail details as its upper counterparts.
Our clients chose to have a full width carpet on the upper flights giving a luxurious feel underfoot. Our design for the basement stair reflects this in a sand blasted runner detail. As well as linking to the upper floor carpets, this also gives non-slip properties.
The dark Havana oval leather handrail is continuous through all three flights.
The balustrade on all flights is crystal clear low iron glass. On the upper levels, it reflects light from a feature chandelier and full-length windows. On the lower flight, the balustrade plays with bespoke lighting in the floor and walls, in addition to that reflected from a wine cellar.
