Oak Cantilever Staircase, Leeds

A perfectly proportioned Oak cantilever staircase

The scale of this cantilever staircase is balanced with the available space in the entrance hall. Our design allows vision to the terrace beyond and provides generous space to pass from the front entrance through to the rear garden.

The design is contemporary and uses thick solid oak treads and a glass balustrade. Treads are cantilevered from a structure hidden in the wall.

A solid oak oval handrail descends from the top of the staircase down into a feature newel.

Some clients have expressed concerns of having open treads with young children or pets. As a result our Design Director Richard McLane has written an article which you may find to be of interest.
