Bronze Balustrade, Leeds

Classic, bronze balustrade.

Project ID: 1982

A Forged bronzed balustrade on a helical stone staircase.

Our staircase rises helically through the hall space, providing a graceful ascent to the first floor. The design includes elements of walnut for continuity with timber flooring in the house.

The foot of the stair faces the front entrance and creates an imposing view, as well as allowing an appreciation of the form of the stair and soffit as it sweeps up to, and around, the first floor landing.

The hand forged balustrade is actually the star of the show. The design is both timeless and classical, with an oval-section Walnut handrail. The handrail runs continuously around both sides of the stairs and landing. At the foot of the stair two newels of turned Walnut sections rise vertically at either side.
