It is our mission to push the boundaries of design interfaces, removing any restrictions in terms of both materials and scope for innovation. We are proud of our diverse staircase portfolio – each commission designed completely bespoke for the property and client it is made for. From country manors, penthouse suites and town houses, to castles, museums and barn conversions – you name it, we’ve designed a staircase for it.

The Role
The Role
With a constant flow of new and exciting staircase projects, the right candidate will be seeking a varied and stimulating work environment. You will join a talented and experienced team and bring a fresh and interesting perspective. You will be keen to undertake the full design process from concept creation; detailing aesthetic and technical elements; to planning and collaborating with key stakeholders during manufacture and site installation.
When you are not designing, you will be leading meetings to ensure projects progress within given timeframes and budgets, working alongside procurement to identify suitable materials, as well as writing presentations and developing technical reports.
Our team is privileged to work with some truly inspiring clients, comprising both homeowners, as well as some of the industry’s most sought-after architects, interior designers and contracting professionals. You will develop your skills to collaborate effectively with a range of design-led specialists, sharing knowledge and supporting each other to define and fulfil each client’s unique aspirations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Educated to degree level, with a demonstrable passion for design, a minimum of 3 years’ experience in 3D modelling and SolidWorks is required
- You will thrive in a creative environment and offer the capacity to approach each project with an open mind, bringing fresh ideas and inspiration
- Your technical knowledge within the context of design, will help solve problems and ensure each aspect of our intricate staircase process is fulfilled effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail is a prerequisite; as is taking care of paperwork / inputting data to our CRM, ensuring the client experience is seamless every time
- You must be able to work autonomously and be trusted to uphold Bisca’s reputation, meeting the high standards which set us apart within our industry
- You will have a natural aptitude for multi-tasking, managing several projects at one time; and happy to liaise with a varied team of both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication is essential, your style will be both personable and professional, whether communicating in writing, verbally or meeting face to face.
- A strong commercial awareness will ensure you are able to judge the impact of your decisions, maximising both profitability and performance across the department
- You will be confident in client facing situations; bringing the ability to handle enquiries objectively and applying a sense of intuition in client-led conversations
- A true team player, you will enjoy working with others and building relationships, to achieve positive and successful outcomes
- You will be committed to personal development and have an enthusiasm for fulfilling training, whilst showing a willingness to support others to learn and improve
- Organisation is key to this role; and so is a strong track record in prioritising workload and being self-motivated to fulfil tasks, without being prompted

- You will be proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams and other similar applications
