We are incredibly proud to announce our award winning staircase, made from recycled lockgates, chosen by the Build It Awards judges.
This is the eighth time in nine years we have entered the Build It Awards, and have been shortlisted each time. We last won in 2015 for The Best Joinery Product with this rustic staircase, so it’s a great end to 2023 to be winners again in the inaugural ‘Best Staircase’ category.

The judges were particularly looking for performance, design, and appeal to self builders/renovators, so this sustainable staircase was a natural choice to enter. This award winning staircase, was for a barn conversion in Northumberland, blending the building’s history with a contemporary element. The reclaimed oak treads from lock gates brings a sense of elegance and natural charm to the barn’s interior.
